How to Play Battlefield 2142 after Gamspy Shutdown?!

Hallo Liebe Battlefield Freunde da draußen,

bereits letztes Jahr wollten wir euch verkünden, dass ihr den Zukunfts Shooter "Battlefield 2142" wieder online spielen könnt. Jedoch machte uns der Publisher einen Strich durch die Rechnung, indem er das Projekt verbot, sodass diese News hier auf Eisgelegt werden musste. Doch die BF 2142 Revive Unterstützer gaben nicht auf. Knapp ein Jahr später (heute) nach dem Rückschlag, tauchen die Entwickler von dem Projekt mit neuer Energie wieder auf. Der neue Name des Projekts lautet "Reclamation 2142". Ziel ist es die alten Spiele am Leben zu erhalten, damit die Leute da draußen eine Referenz zu den heutigen spielen bekommen, denn Computer Spiele sind mittlerweile ein Kultur gut geworden, welche es zu erhalten gilt.





Heute setzen die Publisher viel mehr auf Online Gaming, als früher. Über die Jahre richteten sie eigene Services ein. Manche Spiele müssen Permanent Online sein oder man muss sich über einen Separaten Dienstleister in ein Spiel einloggen, um es spielen zu können. Dazu muss man es ertragen, wenn ständig irgendwelche unnützen Patches kommen und man diese erst runterladen muss, um das Spiel spielen zu können. Das beste Prinzip zum online spielen, gab es bei der ersten Version von Battlefield 1942. Es war so einfach und unkompliziert Battlefield 1942 zu installieren: "Seriennummer eingeben, Patches drüber bügeln und dann einfach spielen." Wollte man Zusätzliche Inhalte im Spiel haben oder in andere Spielewelten tauchen, so konnte man sich von der Community erstellte Mods kostenlos herunterladen. Dieses Prinzip blieb mit leichten Modifikationen der Accountbindung ab Battlefield 2 bis Battlefield 2142 erhalten. Alle Battlefield Spiele, von Bad Company 2 an, hatten keinen Mod Support mehr. Ab Battlefield 3 kam die Origin Tool Bindung dazu. Soviel zur Battlefield Welt, welche von Battlefield 1942 über Battlefield Vietnam und Battlefield 2 nach Battlefield 2142 und Battlefield Heroes (Rising Hub) aktuell wieder online, mit den dazugehörigen Lieblingsmodifikationen der Commmunity, gespielt werden können.



Die Downloads zu Reclamation 2142 haben wir für euch aktualisiert und unten in der News für euch eingetragen. Also wer das Oldschool Gaming unterstützen möchte oder wieder aktiv sein möchte, dem bietet sich jetzt 2018 wieder die Gelegenheit dazu damit loszulegen!

NOTE TO ALL PLAYERS: We will be moving to the Openspy stats system starting Friday night. The NEW BF2142 HUB V1.4 will be released today so download it when you can to make the switch to Openspy easier. This move will unite the Novgames system with our own system and hopefully make it more enjoyable for everyone. This move will also allow us to play PROJECT REMASTER. PLEASE STILL JOIN the Gameranger server chat so players see a lot of players on the server and come in so we can divert them to the Openspy system......

Dear oldschool Players,

there are good news for your old love "Battlefield 2142"!

It was ten years ago, at 19.October 2006, when the 4th boy of the series BF2142 is born. We don't know if you noticed (they certainly have!), but they have been experiencing record-breaking player counts over the past two weekends. This is awesome! Over 1,100 concurrent players online at once on one of the past Sunday. They don't know what to say! Their services have been expanding like never before, and the Revive team couldn't be more excited for what's in store next. Just this weekend they had to expand their Teamspeak 3 server to 128 slots (you guys filled their 32-slot server fast!), so please come join him! Discord is still open to the public for chat, and provides a solid stream of communication with their dedicated and hard-working Moderation Team! They don't bite too hard, try to say hello!





The official release date for their BF2142 Revival is set in stone for Friday, September 23rd! If you've been following their news posts, you know that they've been hard at work bringing the proper infrastructure to life. They're proud to announce that existing players should have a seamless experience getting started on BF2142. When the time comes, a launcher update will be pushed which will bring compatibility for the long awaited BF2142 public consumption.

If you've been waiting eagerly for the release, now is a perfect time to give Battlefield 2 a try while they patch up the final pieces! See you on the Battefield soldiers, it doesn`t matter you like Battlefield 1942 / Vietnam / 2 or here on 2142. We support this all 4 modding able BF games, because this 4 Episodes are the best of the series!

3.) Find your battlefield installation path then go to: ....../mods/bf2142/Levels
  Drag all maps from the zip file in to the Levels folder, thats it!
