FHSW Mappack v4.3 Release 03/2023!

Heute wollen wir euch das kürzlich erschienene Mappack v4.3 der japanischen Forgotten Hope Secret Weapons (FHSW) v0.621 WW2 Mod vorstellen. Ein paar Neuerungen haben wir aus dem FHSW-Europe Kanal auf Twitter für euch zusammengestellt.

Liberation of Strasbourg is mappack 4.3 map. Originally custom bf1942 map, it offers Strasbourg city battles, as well as bocage-like countryside ones. There's one notable sight, partly destroyed Strasbourg Cathedral, highest building on Earth for 200 years.

 

Lake Ville is old custom map added into mappack 4.3, a FHSW conversion of World of Tanks map Lakeville. The terrain and objects of original map are carefully reproduced, and custom kits encourage players to only use tanks in battle.

Muurola is new map from coming mappack, the first FHSW map with melee only weapons, uncluding chairs, vodka bottles, shells and panzerfausts. It's FHSW conversion of custom BF1942 Karden Khaos. It is set during 1944 Lapland war between Finland and Germany.

Hellendoorn is a map from Secret Weapons official add-on, converted few years ago by one of FHSW-Europe members and being added to upcoming mappack. It features few unique vehicles including Opel Blitz T-Stoff, Goblin and Natter

Smiały is Austro-Hungarian armored train,captured by Poland in 1918. Armed with 100, 75mm cannons and MGs, it took part in WW1, wars of 1920s and WW2. It was captured by Soviet and German armies in 1939 and '41, and ended up being destroyed in '44 Model by GloriaVictis.

Kugelpanzer was one-man armoured vehicle without armament, used only as reconnaissance unit, just as in mappack 4.3. It was produced very limitedly during WW2 and one of those was sent to Japan. It's unknown if any of Kugelpanzers were used in battles.

Aragon-1938 is first ever Spanish Civil War map in bf1942, coming to FHSW in mappack 4.3! It is a result of cooperation between BF1918 and FHSW-Europe, featuring 10+ custom vehicles and weapons.

 

Another new map from mappack 4.3, Operation Super Hedgehog objective. Old custom map revived now shows the FHSW madness at its best, with super armored Zveno, V1/V2 rockets, He111Z, Transport planes and even Jesus Ratte that can literally walk on water.

 

One of new maps coming in mappack 4.3 is called Somewhere, it's converted version of vanilla bf1942 Der Bauer. Map is small and offering rural landscape infantry combat and is most notable for being the first working CTF mode (Capture the Flag) map in FHSW.

One of most long-awaited vehicles from mappack 4.3 is Karl-Gerät 600mm mortar. Monstrous vehicle was made in amount of 7 pieces over 1940-1942 and was used in some of Eastern front sieges.FHSW model was made 10 years ago by eYe.ris and is finally debuting as custom veh.

Top Attack Missiles in FHSW utilizing a flettner helicopter and a brave soldier willing to sacrifice his life to destroy a tank,the helicopter flies over the tank and the soldier jumps out and fires the Panzerfaust at the tank, for watch the movie: click here

BA-64 is only Soviet armored car mass produced in 1942-1946. It was widely used until end of WW2, and later in Korean war Coming in mappack 4.3,it exists in 2 variants: with DT mg and PTRS. On some maps it acts as spawn APC, as USSR in FHSW don't have proper one.

125mm ampule thrower was the only mass Soviet weapon of the kind.Used widely at early stage of Ger-Sov war,it was forced out by flamethrower in 1943.Not only flame ampules were fired by it,but smoke bombs,mines and posters. It's one of new weapons coming in FHSWEurope mappack 4.3.

Panzerjäger Wanze debut in battlefield 1942! Panzerjäger Wanze is a very effective tank hunter in battlefield1942, capable of firing 6 RPzB 54/1 rockets in a second and quickly launch smoke and retreat for reloading!

Dornier Do335 was German heavy fighter of late stages of WW2. It has two unique tandem piston engines and can gain speed up to almost 800km/h. It existed in 2 variants - with bombs and 20mm+30mm cannons or with just cannons.

Installation instructions FHSW 0.621 Sound and Textur Patch: 

Delete Sound and Textur FHSW in your Mods folder 

Unzip archive contents into Mods folder. 

Word of warning - DO NOT overwrite objects.rfa from S&Taddition into STFHSW folder, it crashes the game.
sound_01.rfa is compatible though.

Overwrite if prompted  

Changelog: 

Some minor tank engines' sounds changes 

Deleted No.2 firing sound, as new vanilla one is way better
