Battlefield 1918 3.2 Released! + Event!

Greetings and a merry Christmas to you all, the Battlefield 1918 development is both pleased and proud to announce that the 3.2 edition of Battlefield 1918 is now live and available for you all to download. For those who wish to do so a link will be provided at the end of this article. Before that though, let's have a look at some of the new maps you will get to see.







The first map is called Bosnia and is specifically set shortly after the Battle of Cer, during which the forces of Serbia and Montenegro launched a counter-attack into the borders of Austria-Hungary in what was to be known as the Srem offensive.This prompted the military of Austria-Hungary to launch it's own counter-attack in what became known as the battle of Drina. As players may guess, this will actually be the first map in Battlefield 1918 to feature the new forces of the Kingdom of Montenegro.





 

The next new map we present to you today is based around the Battle of Lodz which was fought from November 11th to December 6th of 1914 in modern day Poland between the Russian and German Empires. This battle would see the Germans make a surprise attack against Russian forces in harsh winter conditions. The combination of the speed of the attack, and the ground being frozen meant that few defensive positions could be effectively dug during the battle. As such players should expect to make good use of not only the mobility of their cavalry, but also the accuracy of their cannons which find the exposed infantry to be fairly easy targets.



 

 

With these 2 new maps covered, it may also be a good time to show off the release trailer again. While this was featured in the previous article as well, it may provide a good overview of what players may expect with the 3.2 update.

This is the full release of Battlefield 1918 V3.2. It is in a .rar format so for installation you will want to extract the bf1918 folder within into your mods folder in the Battlefield 1942 directory.

 Today the Battlefield 1918 development team is pleased to announce the release date for Battlefield 1918 3.2 as well giving a first look at yet another new faction you will see added to the mod.

Greetings to you amazing fans of Battlefield 1918, the development team is pleased to announce the release date for the full version of 3.2! We hope you've enjoyed the open beta up to this point, and are interested to see what new things we have in store for you. First of all, let's look at a 4 new faction that 3.2 will feature, bringing the total number of playable armies to 19 (not including early war, winter, or naval variants).

Our latest new nation added into Battlefield 1918 is none other than the Kingdom of Montenegro! This small Balkan nation was one of the first to take part in the war, alongside her ally of Serbia. Despite her small size and having a military force made only of militia, the soldiers of Montenegro proved quite tenacious. As a result this nation fighting until both the fall of Serbia, and overwhelming numbers on the part of Austria-Hungary forced her surrender in January of 1916.



 

 While we could also do more in order to describe the update, the truth is that there has also been a new trailer released to announce the new release date, as well as some of the new features. For those interested here is a link:

With all this news covered now is the time to announce the release date for the update itself, Battlefield 1918 3.2 will be released on December 25th of 2019. - Increased bullet and projectile velocities (He finally give up to make it feel decent with the old ones, this one makes the weapons a little more satisfying).
- Bonus for sloped armor (Sherman, T34, some others).
- Sherman Jumbo now provides to the allies with a heavy tank.
- Some rollbacks to the previous versions. - Now handles grenades as in the original. Bots were throwing them too quickly, so he decided to fall back to the original style.

FinnWars 1918 (A minimod for FinnWars) v. 0.1a "Public Alpha" Release

 

Heute präsentieren wir euch den seit Juni 2015: click here (News von damals) vermissten Release der FinnWars 1918 v0.1a Mod. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Mod, die auf bfmods.com präsentiert wurde. Die Mod setzt sich mit dem Bürgerkrieg um 1918 in Finnland auseinander, als das große russische Reich zerbrach und mutige finnische Arbeiter in einem blutigen Kampf ihre nationale unabhängigkeit erstritten haben. Der Entwickler Ruuga aus Finnland arbeitete nunmehr 4 1/2 Jahre und wir freuen uns, dass er sein angekündigtes Projekt der breiten Öffentlichkeit da draussen präsentieren kann. Leider bietet die Mod keinen COOP oder Singleplayer Support. Dafür kann man die Mod Online spielen, einen Server dazu haben wir euch weiter unten angepinnt. Möglicherweise gibt es draussen jemanden, der unserer FinnWars 1918 Mod mit einem COOP/Singleplayer Kleid ergänzen kann, denke mal wenn man den Entwickler darüber unterrichtet würde er sich ebenfalls darüber freuen, denn für die FinnWars 1.82 Mod gibt es leider auch keinen COOP/Singleplayer Support.

Arise, ye workers from your slumber, Arise, ye prisoners of want. For reason in revolt now thunders, and at last ends the age of cant!

FinnWars 1918 is a minimod of an older mod called FinnWars. It's based on Finnish Civil War. Finland declared independence after the fall of Russian Empire. Not soon after this, the Finnish Peoples Delegation consisting of unhappy Finnish workers, tenants and ideological socialists declared a revolution against the Finnish goverment. This mod allows you to fill the boots of a soldier from either side. You can choose to defend the goverment as a devout patriot from the White side, or if you feel a bit more disgruntled towards the bourgeois and landowners then join the side of the socialist Reds.

This mod is under development and it's currently in crude public alpha state. I've been developing this as a hobby for several years and now I have finally managed to get this mod into a state I feel comfortable publishing. It's rather rough around the edges but I will keep fixing it.

Differences to FinnWars and Battlefield 1942: 

-Two new factions: Finnish Socialist Workers' Republic (Reds) and Finnish Senate (Whites) 

-New weapons and maps 

-Redesigned GUI 

-Some new gameplay implementations 

-Focus on more realistic and slower paced gameplay

FW1918 doesn't have singlepayer- /Co-op -maps. Semi-mobile machine guns and kit limitations would never work with BF42's AI-system. This is purely a multiplayer-mod just like FinnWars.  

Installing: 

Extract the .zip file to your: ...EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods -folder. After that you need to delete all menu_***.rfa-files from FinnWars's folder. If this isn't done correctly the GUI-elements wont work! (A bug in BF42 I can't fix) Read the readme.txt-file for more information.

 Server: This server will close around early to mid january unless this mod gains popularity.

The mod propably has players on server during and around 6th of December 2019. This is Finnish independence day and that is the traditional day when Finnish FinnWars players gather to play FinnWars.  Feel free to give any feedback.

FHSW JPN Mappack Test 11/2019 Release zum Testen!

Heute wollen wir euch fünf neue FHSW JPN 11/2019 Test Mappack Maps aus dem Hause FHSW Japan präsentieren, welche aktuell getestet werden. Mit dabei sind Schlachtfelder für verschiedene Geschmäcker. Leider haben die japanischen Kollegen ihr Forum abgeschaltet und sind nur noch auf Twitter erreichbar, wo sie ihre Updates und Tests ankündigen. Kommen wir zu den Maps, da wäre zum einen.....

1.) Asagiri (Conquest), dabei handelt es sich um eine Panzer Map mit kleinem Waldgebiet, die einen so ein bisschen an Breaktrhough 1944 oder Bocage erinnert. Bei der zweiten Map handelt es sich um  
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.) Osireion (Conquest Modus), welche von einer Japanischen Festung, wir würden es Schloss nennen, aus spielt, welche verteidigt, beziehungsweise erobert werden muss. Lustiges Feature bei der Map sind die Dropbaren Holzschutz Fassaden, welche wir für euch in einem Bild eingefangen haben. Als nützlicher Helfer bietet sich das Pferd an, welche taktisch gleichzeitig als mobiler Spwanpunkt genutzt werden kann.  



















3.) Operation Kikusui Day 3, bei dieser im (Objective Modus) gespielten Map kommen Flieger und Schiffschlachten Fans auf Ihre kosten, den hier seid ihr auf offener See unterwegs. Es gibt Schiffe und Flugzeuge ohne Ende, welche eine epische Schlacht versprechen.  

















4.) Battle of Peleliu (Conquest), wenn euch der Name bekannt vorkommen sollte, ja diese Map gibt es namentlich als Peleliu schon in einem anderen Zusammenhang aus dem Mod Hause Forgotten Hope 0.7 als Download für die Pixel-Fighter.com munity. Diese Map sieht aber völlig anders aus und hat somit nur den ähnlichen Namen gemeinsam. Bei der Map müssen die Amerikaner die Insel von einem Flugzeugträger aus offener See angreifen, ebenso stehen Land nahe Landungsboote zur Verfügung. Die Map erinnert vom Terrain her an die beliebte Map Tarawa. Gespielt wird um Pushmap Modus, wo ihr Flaggenpunkt für Flaggenpunkt in numerischer Reihenfolge erobern müsst. Wenn ihr vom Flugzeugträger aus fliegen wollt, dann werdet ihr bemerken, dass die Flugzeuge leicht in der Luft hängen, das ist so gewollt. Ihr müsst nur leicht die Maus bewegen, dann saust euer Flieger los. Als besondere Features der Map wurden die Napalm Bombe und Raketenwerf Apparate als Sekundäre Waffe für eure beiden Flugzeuge auf dem Flugzeugträger mitgeliefert.  













5.) Battle of Abyssinia (Conquest), dabei handelt es sich um eine Testmap zu einem künftigen Australien : Italien Schauplatz. Leider mussten wir diese Map aus dem Paket nehmen, da sie leider noch keine Inhalte bietet, außer Anhaltspunkte. Sollte diese Map in einem späteren Kleid erscheinen, wo wir euch Inhalte Präsentieren können, nehmen wir diese gerne in unser Angebot für euch mit auf.





6.) Attack of Pearl Harbor (Objective Modus) (Bonus Map), unsere letzte Map für heute wollen wir euch als Bonus Zugabe präsentieren. Bei der Map kann man sagen, es steckt drinnen was draufsteht. Ihr habt eine große Map mit Battlefield 1942 engine mögliches abbild dieser geschichtsträchtigen Map, welches ihr mit euren Freunden und bekannten spielen könnt. Dazu stehen euch Fahrzeuge, Flugzeuge und Abwehrwaffen zur Verfügung. Bleibt uns nur zu sagen, ladet es euch und auf in die Schlacht.
