Battlefield Vietnam Launcher work in Progress
[b]Battlefield Vietnam:[/b] may be one of the more forgotten titles in the Battlefield series, but it was also rather impactful at the time. It was the first to feature the latest Refractor engine changes that would later end up in the even more popular Battlefield 2. Coming out in 2004, the game is a blend of Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2, set in Nam.
Since this time EA has mostly dropped support and forgotten about this title. Only a brief DLC in Bad Company 2 being the last mention. Official servers are long gone and the community continues to prop up this great game. Previously, I have worked on another mod, the Medal of Honor: Community Launcher. From that experience I have learned and continue to learn a lot. Thus, I hope some of that experience will help out in making Battlefield Vietnam more accessible to the community.
There are a a few features to discuss and few things to show off since I got started.
Battlefield: Vietnam Community Launcher Features:
-BFVietnam Executable Fix with Working Server Browsing Integrated (Thank-you!! @ HelloClan)
-Sound Fix integrated.
-DLL fix for Windows 11 has been added to the project
-All original patch installers 1.2 & 1.21, along with WWII mod have been integrated into the launcher.

Summary:
Currently, I am doing testing to ensure the application runs well and works with all the methods of install, including the official CDs. I hope to provide updates as often as I can. This should hit a mid-2025 release if all goes well! Lets work together and bring Battlefield: Vietnam back!
This application is being designed to launch Battlefield: Vietnam and perform needed fixes. You simply select your installed location to apply the patch. The launcher is designed to Launch Battlefield: Vietnam from any directory of your choosing, provide sound and widescreen fixes and automatically apply High Settings & improved Screen Resolution by Default.
