A little tutorial to fix your widescreen.

First go to your Battlefield 1942 installed game folder and open this file with your standard "text document" or "+Notepad Editor" tool:

C:\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\VideoDefault.con
 

renderer.setFullScreen 0      (set it to 0)

 

Next download and copy this two files: 

"dgVoodoo.conf" and "D3D8.dll" to your BF1942 main folder C:\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942

 Voodoo and DX11 File : Download

Ingame try the task: ALT + ENTER, switch to fullscreen, thats it.

 

I will hope this little tutorial from the autor rafael_pl help to fix the widescreen to the Desktop crashes.
