Squeeze bore guns & Super Tank destroyer
The Japanese are getting some new weapons to deal with enemy aircraft and armour. For the allies there is a squeeze bore adoptor to the light 37 and 40 mm anti tank guns. This muzzle device makes it possible to penetrate even more armour using the same gun.
Type 4 twin 20 mm gun pedestal mount:
This was a gun mount for the Type 98 AA gun that was installed on Japanese ships. It will also be featured on ground vehicles like the Type 94 truck to make a new self-propelled AA gun variant with twice the firepower of the SPAA truck with just one 20 mm gun.

Type 5 Ho-Ri II
This was a planned variant of the Type 5 Chi-Ri medium tank, only a prototype of the medium tank was built. This tank destroyer has a 10.5 cm experimental canon, a hull mounted 37 mm gun like on the Chi-Ri which in this case fires smoke rounds and the aforementioned 20 mm gun twin mount on the back of the vehicle. It looks a lot like the German Jagdtiger but the armour is only strong enough in the front to hold against other tanks. Which means The vehicle is vulnerable to flanking.According to FHSWdev the driver not only controls the 10.5 cm gun but can also switch between 37 mm gun and hull machine gun. This ability to use three different weapons independently will also be brought to the Maus tank, making it possible to use the 12.8 cm gun and switch between the coaxial 75 mm gun and machine gun.
Type Ge Anti-Tank Gun
This new artillery piece has the barrel of a Pak41 gun on Japanese designed carriage. A 150 Pak41 were made in Germany and there was a project to copy it in Japan. It is a squeeze bore gun which fires a 75 mm projectile down a 55 mm barrel, name "Ge" comes from Herman Gerlich who experimented with squeeze bore guns in the 1930s. For this type of gun the muzzle velocity and armour penetration is high but the post-penetration effect is limited since the rounds have no explosive filler. Historically this project was dropped in Japan to focus on developing ammunition for existing guns.
Littlejohn Adaptor
The Allies also developed squeeze bore weapons. The littlejohn adoptor could be attached to the end of a regular 40 mm QF 2 pounder gun to increase its effectiveness against armour. It was used on armoured cars, light tanks and tested on Hawker Hurricane Mk.IID aircraft with 40 mm gun pods. The US military also made one for their 37 mm AT gun, here shown on the M8 Greyhound armoured car.
Anonther upgrade to the British 2 pounder gun is that the gun shield extensions will always be installed on the sides. They were often not used to save weight but are especially useful in FHSW where fighting is at short distances.
