How to play BF 1942 online, after again shutdown 2022?

 

New Master Server

The old master server (master.bf1942.sk) which was created by s[sk] after the GameSpy master went down is now also down.

The community created a new master server which is hosted on a new domain:

master.bf1942.org

Players need to patch their executable to be able to update the server list.

Server owners will need to patch their server to send a heart beat to the master.

Hello all!

To keep pace with our popular weekly Desert Combat events;

A variety of maps will be played during this event, some with custom bots, some ctf. It will be a fun variety filled night!

Event will be roughly four to five hours long, then we will return to regular map list.

BF1918: Announcing A New Tournament And A New Faction!

Greetings everyone! The development of Battlefield 1918 continues towards the upcoming V3.3b release, that said it is understandable that some of our fans may be interested in an opportunity to try out some of the new features, factions, and maps a bit early. For those fans we are pleased to announce that the Forgotten Honor Tournament has decided to begin planning a brand new tournament campaign for Battlefield 1918! This new campaign is expected to take place in both the Eastern Front and Balkan Front, and as such we have prepared a new trailer showing off some of what you may expect, and for those curious here too is a link to sign up for the tournament: click here

For those who watched the trailer to the end, you may have noticed the reveal of our latest faction, namely the Kingdom Of Romania! Neutral at the start of the war (although it did have a defensive alliance with Austria-Hungary) Romania joined the conflict on the side of the Entente forces in 1916 after signing a secret treaty in order to gain the territory of Transylvania from Austria-Hungary.

Of course with this new faction we are pleased to announce a new map to feature Romania, namely Transylvania. Set in mid-1916, this map sees the Romanian forces attempt to capture the desired territory of Transylvania away from Austria-Hungary. The map itself will be rather unique in that it will be something of a hybrid between a push map and a meeting engagement with the Austro-Hungarians already defending some positions but most of the map still remaining neutral and up for grabs at the start.

Of course new factions and new maps are not the only thing that will be added in Battlefield 1918 V3.3b, as we are also pleased to announce the expansion of one of the most requested features, iron sight aiming! Long time players will know that some LMGs have had the ability to aim down the sights for a little while now, that said we can now confirm that we are now expanding this features to all remaining LMGs, Rifles, Muskets, Shotguns, and the MP-18!

With all this being announced we of the Battlefield 1918 Development Team hope that you are as excited for this upcoming release as we are, and we also hope that you will consider signing up to the Forgotten Honor Tournament in order to try out these new features early. Hello friends, glad to announce that I released the stable version of "XWWII: Forgotten Battles" V0.1, as you known, it's the fixed version of the previous V0.1, but many new features had been included into the new version, so, don't download the previous one anymore;

Kurze Geschichte der Mod

Nunmehr als sechzehn Jahre ist der letzte offizielle Release der Experience WW2 Mod v2.6 her. Die Entwickler Mannschaft der WW2 Mod entschied sich damals dafür, auf Battlefield 2 zu wechseln, um für fünf weitere Jahre dafür zu Entwickeln, ehe das Projekt nach der erschienenen Version v1.0 im Jahre 2010 eingestellt wurde.

Wie vom Entwickler hans1993 geplant, ist die Experience WW2 v2.7 Forgotten Battles Mod am 10. November erschienen. Laut Entwickler ist die Mod ein Mischmasch aus Battlegroup42 und Forgotten Hope 0.7.

Dafür sprechen die Effekte von Einschlägen mit Rauch und die Möglichkeit über Kimme und Korn zu zielen. Des weiteren wurden weitere Fraktionen hinzugefügt, welche es noch in keiner anderen WW2 Mod für Battlefield 1942 bisher gab. 

Dementsprechend gibt es für die neuen Fraktionen auch neu erstellte Uniformen, angepasste Ausrüstung und Fahrzeugen. Neu sind auch Pferde, Hirsche, und Fahrräder, wie man zum Beispiel von der Soccer Mod oder Battlefield 1918 her kennt. Auch Panzer, Schiffe, Flugzeuge, Unterstützungsfahrzeuge sind vorhanden. Auf der 1st Training Day Map haben wir sogar eine Kutsche entdeckt, die waren bisher nur aus der Western War Mod bekannt.

Um euch im Wettbewerb auf dem Server zu Messen, stehen euch 54 Abwechslungsreiche Maps im COOP, TDM, CTF und Coquest Modus zur Auswahl.

Unter anderem auch einige neue oder auch umbenannte Maps wie, Aalborg, 1st Training Day, Arden Mountains, Alsace, Bihachi, Danzig, Der Untergang, Dieppe Raid, Fornebu, Ihantala,Kameneets Podolskiy, Kendari, Layiuan, Mentone, Nomonhan, Salamaua, Seelow H eight, Songhu Campagin Tinian. 

Zu den neuen Fraktionen für die XWW2 v2.7 Mod zählen unter anderem: Dänemark, Belgien, Rumänien, Bulgarien, Südafrika,  Schweden, Neuseeland und Belgien.

Aber auch China, Sojwetunion, Grossbritanien, Finnland, USA, Jugoslawien, Frankreich, Norwegen, Niederlande, Australien, Italien, Deutschland, Japan sind auch dabei.

All das ergänzt die Vorausgegangene Mod sehr und Rundet sie zu einem völlig neuen Erlebnis ab. Der ein oder andere Battlefield 1942 Fan da draußen, wird sich in der einen oder anderen neuen Nation im Spiel vertreten fühlen.

Gefundene Fehler im Test

Bei unserem Test ist aufgefallen, dass ein paar Gräser und Gebäude auf den Maps in der Luft stehen. Unter Ungarischer Flagge Kämpfen Rumänen und Bulgaren, wobei uns auf der Mini Map die Ungarische Flagge gezeigt wird und beim einnehmen einer Fahne die rumänische Fahne. Unter Neuseeländischer Flagge kämpfen die Südafrikaner mit. Bei den Finnen ist fälschlicherweise die italienische Sprachausgabe als Kommando hinterlegt.

Im Ladebalken der Zitadelle Map, wurde im abgebildeten Meldungsbrief auf der rechten Seite des Bildschirms Hauptquartier falsch mit (b) geschrieben. Die Schweden scheinen noch nicht als Fraktion spielbar zu sein, aber da es sich laut dem Entwickler um eine Demo Version handelt, wird das ein oder andere gefundene Problem noch sicher verbessert werden, sodass man sich über weitere Überraschungen in dieser Mod freuen kann.

Wünsche und Anregungen 

Nun braucht es nur noch einen Server, der diese Mod zum online spielen anbietet, damit man diese gemeinsam spielen kann. Bleibt zu hoffen, dass seitens des Entwicklers hanss1993 an der Mod weitergearbeitet wird. Wir hoffen euch einen kleinen Einblick verschafft zu haben.
